Lifestyle Sessions: Hurtley Family

Wow!  What a big, happy family!  The Hurtleys are used to being photographed, and it certainly shows.  Everyone cooperated in front of the camera and it made for an easy shoot with lots of locations and styles.  The weather was perfect and Marco Island is full of great scenery.  We did have to take the occasional "sweat-wiping" break, especially since the men in the family carried a couch with us everywhere we went!  Katie and I were truly privileged to help this family capture some memories!  Oh yeah, and the best part?  They fed us some good old fashioned BBQ chicken afterward :)  Thanks, Hurtleys!

 

Flying Pine Island

My dad has been a flight enthusiast for many years.  When my sister and I went off to college, dad decided to enter the world of flight in one of the most unique and cost effective ways possible - he bought an ultralight.  He currently owns a Blue Heron Powered Parachute and he recently trailered it 1500 miles from PA to Southwest Florida to fly from the Pine Island Airport.  (If you live in the area and have a couple of hours to spare I would highly recommend a visit to this airport.  It is quite unique.)  I have flown with him several times in PA, but high winds kept me on the ground this time.  My good friend Johnny and my wife Katie were able to get up before the winds picked up, though.  We all had a blast.  Thanks, dad!

 

Gina and Cort are Married!!

As I was thinking about how to best sum up Gina and Cort's day, I opened an email from the bride's mother that does a far better job than I ever could have.  So, the following is a quote from Ileana Ramos:

"Hi TJ & Katie - thank you!!!  I saw the 3 sneak peek pics - beautiful!!! I really liked them - you are an ARTIST!!! I can't wait to see the rest!!!  So glad we met you guys...

The wedding was as simple as natural sunflowers and as elegant as the Badgley Mischka gown she chose :)  Just like Gina -unique and different -artistic, creative & free spirited - dancing to her own tune & happy with the love of her life & barefoot in the grass :)  Cort looked like John Lennon with his white suit & white sneaks ! : ) and happy the day finally came !!"

And a happy day it was!  Katie and I had a lot of fun getting to know this family.  Everyone was so smiley it made our job easy.  By the way...I have never seen so many excellent dancers in one room before!!  Thanks for the great day, guys.
